How to connect your projector to different devices

Before we get to the connection steps, there are a couple of things that you need to know in order to protect your projector and yourself from any damage. These include.
  • Ensure that your projector is placed on a completely stable stand to prevent it from falling.
  • Once you power on the projector, avoid looking directly at the lamp because this may destruct your eyes.
  • Only let an expert dissemble the projector in case of a fault. This prevents any further damage and keeps you from getting shocked.

The projector comes with numerous ports that you need to know and understand if at all you want to ease into the process. There is the audio port that enables you to connect your speakers or headphones.  The AV port which is similar to the audio port allows you to connect AV video devices using the three in one cable. There is an HDMI port is where to connect your TV box or notebook. For your computer, you will use the VGA port. There is the USB output port that allows you to connect your iPhone and iPad and the USB input port that allows you to connect your flash drive. All these ports are designed to ensure that most if not all devices connect to the projector.
Once you connect the device you want, go to the projector settings where you will be provided with an array of options to pick from. These include picture mode, sound, time, and option. Using the remote control, you will need to do is go through all these options adjusting them to suit your preference. Every pick you make is defaulted to change without warning so be on high alert when making picks.
You will also have to adjust the image size to get a clear image from a cheap projector. For this section go for the largest size that is clear. The clarity and the size will differ depending on the device you are using. So it is much more important to compromise the size for a crispy clear image.

  • Digital projector.
  • iPhone should be running on iOS operating system.
  • HDMI cable.
  • Lightning AV adapter for HDMI cable.
  • Lightning VGA adapter for VGA cable
Connection steps
NOTE: In case you are using the older iPhone that has a long connector, there is also a cable suitable for that.
Step 1.
Connect any of the two adapters to your iPhone port. This depends on whether you need to use a VGA cable or an HDMI cable.
Step 2.
Once you are certain that the adapter is well fitted on the iPhone, go ahead insert the available cable on the adapter. It should slide right in without any difficulty.
Step 3.
You can then connect the end of the cable to your projector. If you are using the VGA cable, you will see it labeled on the projector. A similar label is made on the HDMI port.
Step 4.
This step is optional. For loud, clear sound, you will have to connect an audio cable to the projectors audio input and your iOS system’s headphone port. This is only cold upon if you are using a VGA cable. However, if you are using a projector that lacks an audio output port, you will be required to use an HDMI cable. This is because HDMI transfers both data and sound.
Step 5.
You can now go ahead and turn on your projector and using your remote select the source of your projections. This can be VGA input or HDMI.
Step 6.
Switch on your iPhone Xs or any type of iPhone you have, and it will automatically project on the projector screen. Otherwise, ensure that the cable is firmly placed in your iPhone’s port.
This method can be used if you are using any type of iOS system like iPhone X, iPhone Xs, iPad pro or even iPad mini. For all these, use the above steps.
